Hellgate 2025
Every summer, the Black Bird crew takes a break from the hustle and hits the river for one of our favorite traditions — the Hellgate Jet Boat Dinner Trip. It’s our way of saying thanks to the hardworking team that keeps this place running strong all year long. From roaring rapids to stunning canyon views, it’s always a memorable ride — and yes, we get soaked (on purpose)!
This year’s trip was no exception. With an awesome driver behind the wheel, we laughed, cheered, and got absolutely drenched as we tore down the Rogue. The dinner was delicious, the scenery unbeatable, and the company even better. It’s just one of the ways we show our appreciation — because at The Black Bird, we believe work should feel like family, and every summer should come with a splash.

We understand that a battery charger may have felt like a must-have today, but unfortunately, Black Bird Shopping Center isn’t running a “take what you need and skip the checkout” program. 😂
Here’s the serious part: We’re a local business that employs local people. We work hard to provide fair wages, benefits, and a fun place for our team to work. Every item that walks out the door without being paid for makes it a little harder for us to continue doing those things for the people who show up and work hard every day.
We’re all for a little excitement at Black Bird, but shoplifting isn’t the kind of charge we’re looking to add to anyone’s shopping experience.
And thank goodness you didn’t hit our FM on your speedy exit… because then your battery charger adventure could have taken a much more expensive turn. 😬
