The Black Bird Store in Medford, OR, was founded as an army surplus store in 1965 by Lee Hobbs. The giant black bird in front of the store was fashioned after a 10-foot magpie at Yard Birds, a store in Centralia, WA, owned by a friend of Lee’s. The Black Bird Shopping Center has become one of the largest family-owned outdoors stores in Medford, OR.

Just food for thought in these trying times. Do you think you can start a Lay-A-Way program. Not many people can afford to buy much right now. But a 3 month Lay-A-Way would help people so much. And it's almost X-Mas and would help so much.
